Misunderstandings of Communicative Approach in College English Teaching

چکیده

The Communicative Approach, started in the 70s, focus on real communication and interaction. This approach is prevalent English teaching as it proposed an alternative to then ubiquitous systems-oriented approaches. In instead of focusing acquisition vocabulary grammar, emphasizes development learner’s competence communicate real-life situations. other words, aims at cultivating communicative rather than grammatical or linguistic competence. Although Approach effective method teach English, often misunderstood misused by many teachers, especially college teachers. thesis explains what essence is, are its characteristics, misunderstandings teachers usually have about it, hope that can be used correctly effectively students actually increase their from this approach.
